Direct molding around complex facial and ear contours.

Personalized to the patient.
Moldable bolus for selected superficial photon treatments, including VMAT. Adapt it to complex anatomy before the planning CT, without a 3D printer.
A two-component material that sets in minutes, eXaSkin conforms to irregular anatomy. Create close skin contact, then incorporate the customized shape into the treatment plan.
Explore how eXaSkin adapts to different anatomical regions, from clinical setup to planning images.

Direct molding around complex facial and ear contours.

Patient setup with the shaped bolus shown beside the patient, and its planning view.

Customized bolus combined with thermoplastic immobilization.
Illustrative clinical examples. Patient anatomy, bolus geometry, and treatment plans vary.
Establish the patient’s final treatment position using your department’s immobilization devices.
Mix the two components, then adapt the material to the treatment region with close skin contact. Allow it to cure in position.
Scan with the customized bolus in its final position. Include its actual geometry in the photon treatment plan.
Use the same patient-specific bolus during treatment, reproducing its placement from the planning CT at each fraction.
Workflow overview only. Follow the product instructions for use and your department’s validated clinical procedures for preparation, application, and treatment.
Direct molding adapts the material to irregular surfaces, helping minimize air gaps over the treatment area.
Create patient-specific bolus directly from a two-component material that sets in minutes.
A non-reflective surface supports optical guidance, with placement reproduced from the planning CT.
Include the actual bolus geometry within the planning CT and dose-calculation volume. Variable thickness can be incorporated into the photon plan rather than requiring a uniform manufactured sheet.
Use a locally validated approach to CT calibration, material assignment, and dose calculation for this high-density material.

Stepped bolus and illustrative calculated 6 MV VMAT dose distribution, illustrating planning flexibility across 2, 7, and 12 mm steps. Clinical thickness and dose calculation are patient- and plan-specific.
Three kit sizes for different anatomical areas and coverage needs.
| Product code | Kit size | Illustrative applications | Pack contents |
|---|---|---|---|
| AG1001003-150 | 150 g | Small, localized areas: nose, ear, fingers, hand, or foot | 6 sachets and 6 catalyst tubes |
| AG1001003-225 | 225 g | Face, neck, shoulder, forearm, or chest wall scar | 5 sachets and 5 catalyst tubes |
| AG1001003-650 | 650 g | Larger areas: whole breast, chest wall, scalp, or large extremities | 2 sachets and 2 catalyst tubes |
Select the kits you’d like included, then choose Add to quote.
Examples guide product selection; the amount required depends on individual anatomy, coverage, and the clinical plan.
Use the reusable iMold system when a uniform sheet geometry is preferred, such as broad surfaces, phantom studies, or commissioning. Direct molding is generally preferred for highly irregular anatomy.
Integrate eXaSkin with thermoplastic masks or eaSyFix. Record orientation and positioning details so your team can reproduce the planned placement throughout treatment.
